On 23 August, a small, indoor music festival takes place at the Mooie Molen in Roeselare, Belgium. The event is called, “BAMFest: Belgium-America Music Festival” and features Blues, Jazz-Blues and Belpop underground music with a bit of a twist. That twist comes by way of one bassist performing with all the musical acts on the bill. I, Myke Rock, am that bassist. When I lived here in Belgium from early 2018 until mid 2020, I played bass guitar for and with most, (well, all except one), of these well-known Belgian musicians until the Covid pandemic forced closures of venues and cancellations of nearly 70 booked shows in Belgium and broader western Europe. By April 2020, I saw all of my shows cancelled for the entire year, beckoning my return to Columbus, Ohio USA.

Hosted and Produced by Len Damico, each Columbus Local Podcast episode primarily features Columbus Ohio local musicians. On August 3rd, 2023, Myke Rock paid a visit to Damico's studio to record an episode of the podcast. Myke Rock accepts 2023 Comfest Honors as "Honored Artist" of the Community Festival!
